To open the Rune Door, you'll need to hit the various rune mechanisms on the island to match the sealed door, much like a Nornir Chest. Inside the Coffin are 3 Word Serpent Scales and 1 Svartfelheim Steel 3803 Hack Silver, Svartfelheim Steel, World Serpent Scale, and Ancient Heart. Defeating the Ancient will grant you a Rare Enchantment, the Fire Sigil of Focus (increases resistance to BURN damage by 20% (stacks up to 60% max). Break the red container beside it to free it, but be ready, as it will awaken a Fire Ancient. You’ll see a coffin to the left covered in stone. There are now multiple paths to the cove, including a new beach on the South side, a small tunnel on the East side, and a zipline down from the Isle of Death. The brazier also counts as a Lore Marker, but technically only for the Shores of Nine region, and thus isn't counted for the Iron Cove checklist.Īfter speaking to the World Serpent a second time with Mimir, the water level will again lower, allowing you to explore more of the Iron Cove.
